Our middle leaders are fully qualified and have shown sustained, outstanding levels of efficacy in their search for excellence. They have led their subject areas as Heads of Department over many years of successful delivery, they are passionate educators, genuinely enthusiastic about teaching and learning.
Our middle leaders have served on senior leadership teams and have experience of implementing whole school initiatives in varied settings. Our practitioners actually like young people, and will gladly go out of their way to do the very best they can, driven by a growth mindset and a commitment to leave every situation and setting improved in some way.
All our teachers are fully vetted in line with strictest safeguarding procedures. We check, passports, identity documents, the right to work in the UK, bank statements, utility bills, proof of address, work history, references and all our teachers hold a current enhanced DBS certificate and have online portability so you can double check when the teacher arrives.
Computing and Technology
Our ICT/Computing/Computer Science/Technology middle leader has many years experience of directing a large department to very high levels of sustained attainment.
Computing is fundamentally different from ICT and now much more closely aligned with design technology and STEM. Teaching computing and computer science requires a different suite of skills, knowledge and understanding. Our very well-qualified (MSc Merit) middle leader has a wealth of experience delivering computing fundamentals in classrooms and leading on computing across two local authorities. He has also worked through all the current main exam board controlled assessment materials and can confidently deliver Python training to that level.
Teaching Media Studies well is an art in itself. Our middle leader has a specialist PGCE in Media Studies from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with many years of experience delivering bespoke schemes of work in London schools. In addition, our Media Studies middle leader attended the Northern School of Film and Television where he attained an HE Certificate in Film Production; during this time he produced and directed a TV documentary aired several times by Yorkshire TV.
